  • ‘Tuning’ out perioperative anxiety

As part of an internal quality improvement project, poster authors from University of Cincinnati sought to promote the use of music in anesthesia in a bid to reduce anxiety and improve patient outcomes. Learn how this safe, non-invasive, and cost-effective adjunct to anesthesia may quell high patient anxiety levels often associated with deleterious effects such as nausea, vomiting, and cardiovascular disturbances. Discover their project results here which were presented during the recent AANA 2020 Virtual Congress.
